Faith No More To Reunite In 2009?
Posted by Dan Marsicano on 12.01.2008

According to UK magazine "Kerrang!" Faith No More is planning a UK tour this spring/summer.

The rumor is that a number of UK venues have been placed on hold for the spring and festivals are being looked at for the summer-time.

Founding bassist Bill Gould played down the speculation, telling Kerrang! "If anything like this were to happen, it would have to come from the band, and I haven't spoken with any of them in over a year. So as far as I know, there isn't anything to talk about, and I'm pretty sure that if you were to contact [Mike] Patton [vocals], he would tell you the same thing.

as a FNM fan and more so a Mke Patton fan, I can't imagine this ever really happening again, plus it's about four years too late to get any "rap rock" significance. if it's true Ipecac records must need some major funding.

"Rap rock" significance? What the hell does that mean?

Anyways, a FNM reunion would be possibly the greatest thing in the history of music. FNM is one of my favorite bands, and, if this is true, I'm seriously considering a trip over to England just to see these guys.

And, again, "rap rock?" What the hell does Faith No More have to do with fucking "rap rock?"

FNM almost single handedly invented rap rock, but did it in a way that still sounds more relevant than countless wannabes who remain nameless in their wake. This is THE BEST news I've ever read on 411music. Patton is IMO the definitive voice in modern rock.

I agree, absolutely nothing to do with "rap rock". I'm only an average fan of FNM but I know enough to know that dude is full of shit.

Patton has said for years it won't happen...but I'd be glad if it did. I wonder if they would bring back Jim Martin or not??
Also Suicidle Tendencies was doing "rap rock" welllll before FNM was even a blip on the radar

What FNM song is rap rock? Please tell me. I'm really curious.

Second, FNM formed in 82, released their first album in 85, second in 87. Suicidal formed in 81, first album was 83, second 87. They were pretty much contemporaries. Suicidal got some more success early on, but they both started around the same time.

guys...have any of you listened to faith no more. First of all, it's "you want it all but you cant have it. Secondly, Mike Patton rapped on one song...Epic. He was making fun of white rappers. The song certainly had a theme. To call them rap rock is a horrible injustice. I hate to be a douche here, but damn guys speak of what you know!
